We have completed several refurbishment contracts for Rubicon Interiors around central London. We were originally invited to give them a quote for their new offices/warehouse roof. On our site visit it came to our attention that the roof was already double skinned so was insulated to a certain degree. We then realised that their primary concern, condensation wasn’t going to be a problem once they moved in and introduced heat into the building. After getting my briefing and reading the plans, we realised that one side was only going to be used for general storage, work area and parking for their vans with the remaining area having an open plan office design.
The unit was located right opposite one of the busiest station/railway lines going in and out of London and were having their vans parked and loading in the warehouse side. We realised there going to be considerable interference for the office staff working in that area from noise and air pollution. We advised that they would be wiser to focus purely on isolating the offices from the warehouse with the spray foam insulation rather than wasting money spraying the roof over the warehouse side, as it already had some insulation.
We sprayed 75mm between metal studs to all external and dividing walls and 40mm to the roof and the underside of the mezzanine floor within the office areas to meet the U Value target required. The result has given them a very airtight and efficient office area and boardroom. We not only gave them an optimal performing insulation, we eliminated noise/air pollution, moisture intrusion and wind uplift giving the 20 plus office staff a very healthy working environment to work in during both cold and warm conditions.

We have completed numerous contracts for Wynnstay stores when they are making refurbishments or have acquired new premises. We completely seal the roof, walls and gables to eliminate heat loss which would be considerably worse than normal due to the building fabric already in place.
The spray foam was used on this swimming pool in Rhyl, North Wales to solve four ongoing problems (asbestos encapsulation, condensation, stabilisation & insulation) on the project below. All four issues were resolved quickly and permanently, with only one application of spray foam insulation needed.
